Designer AND Photo Beta cannot open EPS files

Recommended Posts

Your software is fabulous!

I miss one thing though: Designer and the Photo Beta are unable to open or place EPS files. They get cut off, kind of.

Hopefully you will be able to solve this. Now I have to take the road via iDraw and then, from there, export as SVG.

Hi hspeterpanhs,

Both products should be able to open/place EPS files - so I'd imagine there's something odd about the EPS files you've tried. Is there any chance you could send us one (or two) so that we can look at it and try to fix the problem? If you don't mind sending them to support@seriflabs.com then that would be fantastic - thank you! :)

Cheers,

Matt

Hi I have problems opening EPS files as well. I have had to revert to opening in Illustrator CS5 because the file is incredibly pixelated or the selection tool does not select a path, it selects a square to crop. Am I missing something obvious?

Actually I have just tried again and seem to have more success when I use the File-Open command within AD rather than selecting a file by using Finder then Open Using...

5 mins later:  looks like I spoke too soon, next EPS I open from inside AD does the select a square routine again.  :-(
