How do I repeat a shape in a circular array in Affinity Photo?

Recommended Posts

I don't see any way to control the rotational axis of a geometric shape in Affinity Photo. If I knew how that were possible I might be inches closer to my goal.

How would one take a shape and then make it repeat in a circular pattern?

create a shape, show rotation centre place the rotation point where you want it, duplicate ctrl-J rotate and again ctrl-J

FWIW, the repeat layer feature in the Affinity apps is called 'power duplicate.' The Duplicate help topic built into Affinity Photo includes a minimal amount of useful info about this feature, but once you know what it is called, a web search on something like "power duplicate Affinity" will turn up lots of info about it, for example this Affinity Designer video tutorial. (It works the same in Photo as in Designer.)
