Brimar
Awesome app! Best one on the App Store! But I’m still learning and I was wondering if someone could help me. I’m looking for a pencil/sketching brush for Affinity Photo with a look that is similar to this type here. I have tried the 4-5 default brushes and while quite good I was looking for one with more of a “rough sketch” kind of look as that is a large part of my artistic style. I use a 1st gen 12.9” iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil. I have searched the the web for .abr brushes and imported a few into Affinty Photo. But I cannot seem to get the setting to get the right look. They all end up looking a bit too solid line-like. And also what settings works best for a tilt that allows for shading with the Pencil at a 45 degree angle for wider strokes? Thanks. Brimar
Thanks for the links. I appreciate it! These brushes look really useful to me. And there seems to be a large variety to try out. Thanks again.

Alfred
If Paolo's example isn't quite what you're looking for (not grainy enough, perhaps?) try creating your own starting nozzle by sampling the image you posted here. It's standard Procreate HB/6B pencil brush actually, aren't there any way how convert their .brush files to Affinity?

I doubt it, but if there is a way I'm sure @paolo.limoncelli would know how to do it, since he creates brushes for both apps. Oh, I see. I'll try to play with settings, it's strange I couldn't find the correct one.
paolo.limoncelli
Hi! Do you see something suitable here? It is the DAUB Pencils Mk2 set, with a 2k seamless texture and brand new settings. Unfortunately it doesn't work on AffinityPhoto for iPad because the features needed to make it work are not yet there. Also please note the old DAUB Pencils doesn't work properly for the same reason. Basically this effect cannot be reached on iPad yet... Sorry... I have them as part of the DAUB Essentials set. Are they available separately, Paolo? (Not that I can understand why anyone would only want those, and not the rest of the set!) paolo.limoncelli
Hi Alfred! This is a “light” version I will release after the proper update of the commercial set! It would be great to have your wonderful brushes work on the iPad, as you originally designed them to work on the desktop version. Perhaps we can post in the iPad features request thread and have this shortcoming addressed. paolo.limoncelli 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Thanks, in particular Nozzle Mode for Texture is what you need to have a perfect 1:1 reproduction of DAUB brushes in desktop/iOS context Alfred 1 Quote The white dog, making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers
