Here is another set of three, this time a close-up of some dead Ivy roots.

First, an original image, resized 200% with Lanczos:

Now with the originals  median-stacked, then resized 200% :

 

And finally with the originals resized, then median-stacked:

My impression is that the enlarged original is the best of the three!
