John Rostron
Does your camera club specify exactly 1400×1050 or as a minimum? Do they also specify 7" by 5"? If it has to be 1400×1050, then you can use Document > Resize to do it, then print specifying 7" by 5". You could try and specify 200ppi, but it is not quite as simple as that. I would ignore tyis and let the printer do the scaling. John Quote Windows 10, Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Designer 1.10.5 and Publisher 1.10.5 (mainly Photo), now ex-Adobe CC CPU: AMD A6-3670. walt.farrell
I don't see how a 7x5" picture is ever going to end up 1400x1050px, no matter the ppi you specify. 1400x1000, perhaps, but not 1400x1050. If you need 1400x1050 I think you need to make it larger and crop, or you're going to have to distort the image. Or, is my arithmetic off? toltec
Make it 1400 pixels by 1050 pixels. Nothing else matters really. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
Alfred
A quick search on the Interwebs reveals that some camera club groups such as WCPF and SAPA specify dimensions of 1400 pixels by 1050 pixels, but these are maxima, so 1400 pixels by 1000 pixels would be fine. John Rostron
Assume you have a 2100 by 1500 pixel Image. Select Document > Resize Document Ensure that the lock icon between width and height is intact For the width, enter 1400 (or 1400px); ignore the height (Optional) Select Lanczos as the method Click on OK This should give you a 1400 by 1000 px image. If you force it to 1400 by 1050 (by unlocking the lock), then the image will be distorted slightly. Leaving the lock intact keeps the proportions intact.
