Terminology - Flip Vertical vs Rotate

Recommended Posts

I just tried the Flip Vertical option in AP (MacOS X version). It is actually a double rotate by 90 degrees - i.e. 180 degrees, rather than a mirror operation. As such it's actually slightly more useful quite often, but it might be helpful to label it as a rotate by 180 degrees. OK - it's perhaps not such a big deal, but ....

That's not what I see in AP for Windows.

EIther way - I really would like to see a Rotate by 180 degrees, however it's done.

You can very easily rotate an object by typing in a value in the transform panel. Or try manually with the mouse by holding down the SHIFT key as a modifier. This restricts to rotation angles of 15° and a little overlay even displays the rotation angle.

Or do I misunderstand what you are asking for?

Or try doing two consecutive rotations of 90° each. Would it really be worthwhile having a separate option for rotating by 180°?

In case you are asking me I'd rather see the developers using their precious time to come up with more advanced features ;)

I am sure the OP will get this sorted out and can then rotate happily along :)
