New document created from clipboard loses DPI info

Recommended Posts

1. Create a new document 8.5x11" @300dpi

2. Draw a rectangle filling the artboard

3. Copy the rectangle

4. ctrl+alt+shift+n to create new document from clipboard

The new document is created based off an incorrect DPI of 72, meaning everything is upscaled but downsampled. Expected result is new document with same dpi (and therefore, actual size) as the original copied content.

Hey mqudsi,

Another user is reporting something similar wherein pasting copied vector objects are being pasted in at a massive size. Have you noticed this change since updating to 1.6.4 at all?

I definitely have objects that are pasted at greater than the artboard size, but with vector art it's a bit hard to make that distinction since it scales up or down at will and I don't remember what size it was originally designed for when I paste.
