Paul Martin
I'm used to Serif DrawPlus, so I tried drawing arrows with the pen tool before realising that the shape tool was suitable. Unfortunately, it seems difficult to draw arrows consistently, particularly to get the arrow heads the same. So I can see that two arrows whose properties I have tried to match, don't. I know, I thought, I'll create a style! Tried that, can't see any confirmation that one has been created or any way of retrieving a saved one. Harrumph! toltec
If you create a stylish arrow, right click and go Create Style, it appears in the Styles panel, in the Studio. Right click on the style and you can rename it or delete it. bowen192 and Callum 2 Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions. Staff Callum Posted March 19, 2018 Staff Share Posted March 19, 2018 Hi Paul Martin, Welcome to the forums Saved styles can be found in the Styles tab which should be next to your Layers and Effects tabs by default however a style can't be used to make your Arrow heads the same. If you select multiple arrows then hold down CTRL while adjusting the heads of one of the arrows it will apply to all selected arrows Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Staff MEB Posted March 19, 2018 Staff Share Posted March 19, 2018 Hi Paul Martin, Styles will not keep the values/proportions set for parametric shapes, only generic attributes like fill/stroke colours, width so it probbaly won't do what you want. There's however a few workarounds around the forum that may help. Do a search for arrowheads and you should find quite a few threads discussing this. Guest
Hello, Paul Martin, You can draw an arrow and save it in the"Assets", you can then use it at will.
Paul Martin
Thank you all - Toltec, Callum etc - for your generous and helpful responses. One thing I have learned is that it is too easy to accidentally change the shape of arrows when just intending to change their angle or length. But I'm getting there.
