NiftyOwl
Hello, I am new to Affinity for the iPad and I am stumped when trying to place an image that is larger than my created document. In Photoshop I used the ‘free transfom’ option to reduce the size of the photo by dragging the handles. Is there a way to do this in Affinity? I just cannot see it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Steve
Staff MEB Posted March 19, 2018 Staff Share Posted March 19, 2018 Hi Steve, Welcome to Affinity Forums You can tap-drag to set the size of the placed document on canvas. To scale the image down in case you already have placed it larger than the canvas, zoom out until you can see the blue bounding box and handles (even if the image is only partially visible inside the canvas area) of the image then drag one of the corner handles to make it smaller. Reposition/center the image (dragging with one finger) and repeat the scale down operation until the image becomes smaller than the document canvas. Yesiam1996
Anyone demo said “tap-drag” motion? I can’t wrap my head around how this is done.
Alfred
Tap-drag on a tablet is just like click-drag on a desktop or laptop. It’s the same motion as you would use to drag out a marquee or a vector shape. Staff MEB Posted March 22, 2018 Staff Share Posted March 22, 2018 Hi Yesiam1996, Just touch and drag your finger without lifting it from the iPad's screen surface. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
