Color modes CMYK RGB LAB :: extreme differences

Recommended Posts

The attached 3 screenshot show 3 Affinity color modes

CMYK  (8 bit)

RGB  (8 bit)

They defenitely do vary too extreme.

The background vector rectangle has a neutral grey fill (cmyk 20/20/20/100) and a black/white level adjustment applied.

The applications rendering intent is set to "Relative colorimetric" + "Black point compensation" active.

macOS 10.14.6, Macbook Pro Retina 15" + Eizo 27" // Affinity preferred in Separated Mode + Merged Windows

Hi thomaso,

I think there is still some work to do with adjustments when we switch colour models. Some adjustments cannot be carried over and some need to be mapped to the new colour model.

I'll take a look at this today.
