ladlon
Would be great to have an index or search feature in the Help manual. Sometimes, there's items you want to read up on, but are not sure what 'chapter' they would be in.

Hello @ladlon, I do not quite understand what you mean. There is a search feature in the help. It is located at the top of the window ''Affinity Designer Help' right next to the purplish arrows pointing to the left and right. I am on Windows, perhaps on the Mac it looks different? But you are right there is no alphabetical index. d. walt.farrell
That search box in the Help may be difficult to see if one uses the dark User Interface. ladlon
Wow... colour me 'stupid'. Yep, you're absolutely right. I have no idea why I didn't notice that. Thanks, Dominik.
dominik
Just now, walt.farrell said: That search box in the Help may be difficult to see if one uses the dark User Interface. That is true. I use the dark UI and I know about the search box so I have no problem using it. But looking at it again, it is rather mute especially compared to the light grey background of the contents list. d. ladlon
Hi, Walt. As much as I'd love to have some excuse for not spotting it, I don't think it was the darkness (...although I did make a suggestion that the tool highlighting in Dark mode really needs to be boosted). Either there was some sort of graphical glitch when I was looking at the Help manual today...or, I just had a really bad 'perception level' day! But, after Dominik's post, I checked again, and it's there, and I have no idea how I could have missed it! Mega-oops.

As of @walt.farrell's comment we'd rather colour the search box in a lighter colour Glad to be of help. Cheers! d.
