jackamus
How do I apply a gradient to a line with the same level of control as a shape? Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! toltec
Select the Fill fool and on the Context Toolbar, select Stroke Then you can use the gradient swatch for precise control and use the Fill tool for direction. jackamus
I don't think this doesn't work in the same way as for shapes. It won't allow me to add additional nodes for controlling direction and colour. Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! jackamus
I don't quite understand what you are saying. I'll start again; I want to fill a curved line with a multi- colour gradient in exactly the same way that I can a shape using the same fill tool. The Stroke tool does not appear to allow this kind of Fill. Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools. I was just picking up on the fact that you used both "don't" and "doesn't" instead of only one or the other (as in "Don't never use no double negatives."). As far as I'm aware, Affinity Designer currently lacks the ability to do what you would like to be able to do. Or maybe I completley misunderstood what you were looking for. _Hans There is no "Gradient Tool" in Designer, Designer calls it a Fill Tool, as described in the second post.
