Hi, welcome to the Affinity forums.

Is this not a question for support at Google Drive?  I assume you are trying to access Google Drive to import images to either Photo or Designer?  If so, do you do this by using File>Open?  Can you access your Google Drive in any other app?

I would try to reinstall affinity photo but I am afraid they will recharge me and that I might lose images off my ipad

As long as you are logged in with the same Apple-ID in App-store, you will not be charged anything.
Just go to you purchased tab and click download.

I reinstalled affinity photo.  This did not help with google drive but did allow me to see photos app again.  I reinstalled google drive.  This fixed the problem.  I did not lose any data but affinity photo seems to have forgotten the thumbprints of the files showing on google drive so I have to reference the actual file by number.  Is there any way to have affinity photo rescan my files so the thumbprints show up again?
