Jeremy Bohn
In Affinity Photo, in the menu under Document > Rotate 90 Anticlockwise... Just a suggestion, but the term anticlockwise is not used in Canada and the US. It's a primarily British English term. The term should be counterclockwise at least for American and Canadian English. There might be other uses of this term in your apps too but it should be changed. I'd also like to see Rotate 180 added.
walt.farrell
Have you checked your preferences to make sure you have US English selected? I have, and my Affinity Photo has Rotate 90 Counter-clockwise. Jeremy Bohn
Thanks, it does change to "counter" if I change the language to US English from Default. So what is default? Is it using the System default? Then my system default is Canadian English and it should have been using Counter.
walt.farrell
From the language list in Preferences, Affinity seems to support UK English or US English. They do not list Canadian English. From the Help: Language—Sets the UI language independently of the operating system. Select from the pop-up menu. My guess: "Default" means try to use the OS language setting. However, as Affinity doesn't support Canadian English, when it saw Default and that your OS is configured for Canadian English, Affinity had to choose an English variant that it does support. As the software is developed in the UK, that's a natural choice for them to make. Pšenda
Affinity somewhere declare, that language is sets according the OS? Is not UK always a default? Jeremy Bohn
Okay, makes sense. Thanks Walt. At least I can change it, but the word Anti threw me off for a moment.
Pšenda
The application language is not set according to the language chosen during installation. It is a pity. I tried setting Italian while installing, but in the app remained UK. I think it’s quite common for installers to be available in many more languages than the application itself (because the vocabulary of an installer is very limited) but it would be nice to have an option to set the application language during installation.
