I am new to Affinity Photo and I have been watching and searching Affinity tutorials trying to find information on how to blend texture images with Photos in affinity photo.  There is a lot of information on how to do this in Photoshop but no info on blending texture images with Photos.  I tried doing this using the same methodology as in Photoshop but it does not work.  If you have a photo opened in Affinity then open a texture image in Affinity the texture image covers the background layer and now the texture image becomes the photo.  The texture should be able to move independently of the photo.

This is a great feature in Photoshop and should be added to Affinity Photo

If you drop a texture file to an open photo in AP it becomes a layer above the photo. You can then move, scale, set transparency, blend mode and blend options.
