start up screen

Recommended Posts

Whether it says to say or not, I have been patient, but let me tell you.
At the startup screen when Affinity Designer starts up,

the pattern like the spray on the back of the title display is very dirty and unpleasant.
I also think that it will lower the dignity of the application and eventually the company's dignity.
Could you please consider examining this pattern?

I completely disagree, the combination of vector graphics and pixel based effects really shows the power of the Affinity Toolchain.

If it is what the producer intends, I will withdraw my request.

If you are concerned about the blending of vector and raster, please go perfectly.
However, it is contrary to what it looks like at startup and "About Affinity Designer" screen.

In Windows is the same, this is About.

Personally I'd rather Serif spent their time improving the software, rather than worrying about the design of the splash screen!

It certainly does, but it certainly will not add to the professionalism of the company.

Notwithstanding that this certainly will not be solved by developers.

P. S. Splash screen is OK, About screen is KO :-)

I think the startup splash screen, and the About screen, are the same. They will look different, of course, depending on the background you view them against, so the appearance differs for startup depending on what is already on your screen, and for About depending on what document you have open (or which UI you use, if no documents are open).

As a test, I opened Affinity Photo, maximized the window, and created a new all-white document and zoomed to fill most of the screen.

I then started Designer, and looked at the splash screen. After that I maximized Designer, created a new all-white document and zoomed in to fill most of the screen. I then looked at the About screen. That way, both comparisons were against the same background.

For what it's worth, I like the splash and About for both Photo and Designer.

But if you look at pictures from tosicity, Hokusai, and this detail,

so Mac OS is definitely not ok.
