supported cameras and lenses

Would it be possible to have a Topic that is locked in place in this forum so that we can easily find the cameras and lenses that are supported by Affinity.  I would like to have it easily found instead of looking for a link within a comment. 

 

If this has already been done, would you please point me to this link, with thanks.

May I make a suggestion as this topic seems to out of place in Questions.  To me it would be better placed and pinned in News and Information as each time a new camera or lens is added it is news and/or information.  

 

Just my 2 cents as pennies no longer are produced and don't have any value as I live in Canada.  Ha!

So I looked through this post and do not see my camera and new lens listed.

Any timeline for these?

Additionally if they are not supported what is the consequence of using AP on the RAW data from the this camera and lens combination?

Are you running a Mac or Windows machine? If Mac the Sony Alpha ILCE-7R III is already supported by the Apple (Core Image RAW) engine on macOS High Sierra (check this list). You only have to switch from the Serif Labs to the Apple (Core Image RAW) engine going to menu View ▸ Assistant Manager..., RAW engine dropdown in Develop Persona (you will have to reload the image to use the new engine).

I am running Mac so does that mean that I should be setting the developer to Apple (Core Image RAW) instead of yours?

Is the support for the new lens 100-400 lens a significant requirement?

Yes, that's the only way to open the RAW's from that camera in Affinity Photo. We will eventually add support for it too later in our own engine.
