Beta 1.6.3.103 Crashes on opening Canon CR2 images

Recommended Posts

Seems like CR2 images from both the EOS 5D MK 2 and EOS 5DsR crash the app, it has sent details from the crash reporter and if you need images

I can supply you with some but it happens for all images.

The 7D and 5D MK 3 images open OK.

(Note: Doesn't affect the production version where they all open OK)

Hi, you can close this if you like as resetting the preferences seemed to clear the issue.

HI Sean,

Rebooting my PC fixed this issue as well, sorry for inconvenience. I am guessing you have some sort of memory leak going on

Sid

There's no memory leak that could cause you to reboot your machine in order to fix it. Even if we leaked memory, when the application is closed, Windows would re-claim the memory for use by other processes. It's more than likely some Windows update, or some driver issue.

I can report no issues here with my 6D MkII, 1Dx, and older 5D. Must be another reason as Mark says, Windows, AV possibly, etc.?
