TomRG
I'm trying to get a file I've been working on in Affinity over to a friend using Illustrator for final (minor) edits. At minimum, he at least needs to be able to open it on Illustrator with no loss of resolution. I have tried exporting it as every file extension available with Affinity and they all lose resolution or effects upon export. Does anyone know how best to tackle this problem? Staff stokerg Posted February 27, 2018 Staff Share Posted February 27, 2018 Hi TomRG and Welcome to the Forums, From looking at the file you've used a number of Layer Effects, which won't export well to a vector format as they tend to get rasterized, which would result in loss of quality. In some places where you've used a Layer Effect, the circles outlined in red for example, you can remove the Layer Effect and apply a red stroke to the circles, which will stop them from being rasterized and keep the quality. I'd suggest PDF would be one of the best formats for this, setting the Preset to PDF for Print and clicking on More and setting Rasterise to Nothing. But you'd have to look at replacing the filter effects before exporting.
