Raw support Olympus TG 5

Recommended Posts

I have updated to 1.6.7 on my IOS device (IPad pro, iOS 11.2.6)

When I am trying to import ORF raw files (TG 5) no image is displayed in the raw development window, when I tap “develop” Affinity crashes, I am able tough to import ORF RAW files from an EM5 mk 2 Camera, is the Olympus TG 5 not supported by Affinity in spite of the IOS support for this camera?

If not, when  can I expect support for this camera?

Hi Ingvar,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Affinity Photo for iPad relies on iOS system level  support - Apple (Core Image RAW) - to convert/process RAW's. Currently the Olympus Tough TG-5 is not supported by iOS11.

You can check Apple's Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra document here.

Interesting, and good to know. I would’ve thought the TG5 would be supported by now. I have the TG4 for travel, and love it. Was thinking of updating to the TG5, but maybe I’ll hold off until RAW is supported.

I’m not a huge fan of shooting everything raw like some are, but I’ve found with these small sensor compacts, raw can make a big difference.
