Thank you Dev. Team for all your hard work!

Unfortunately the Perspective Live Filter is still shutting down the program almost immediately after starting the filter. It does not leave a crash report.

Peter

Same here, just selecting it shuts down APhoto. No error message, no report.

The issue with the perspective filter is a Windows System crash in ucrtbase.dll (c runtime library):

If only one live perspective filter is applied at a time no crash. Disabling one and adding a second is possible without crash though - without disabling  - crash with no traces in event log.

I have 20 different versions of ucrtbase.dll on my machine in different specific locations (e.g. AP installations including betas and ...Microsoft Shared\OFFICE16) and versions.
I assume that AP Beta 102 as well as AP release are using the ones in their application path. Both ucrtbase.dll in AP application paths give in contrast to the system32 6 missing dependencies.

As AiDon quotes the Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\ucrtbase.dll there may be an erroneous use of the system32 path?

We've just put in a fix for this, and will hopefully release a 103 build later today.

Any ETA when all these recent changes in the Beta's will go live? I'm really liking the changes in the RAW engine!

I am running the 102 build and the perspective tool is not crashing my system.

Maybe has something to do with the Spectre and Meltdown Microsoft patch? When I had it installed it crashed the application or just jumped back to it's original point, now I removed it,, no problem at all!

In English

Good morning.

Yes indeed (I was able to reproduce it, Windows 7-64).

A box opens and suggests sending the error report to Windows.

Hope so as it crashes on my pc too - very time. Can't use the beta as is :(

can you please describe in more detail, why you can not use the new beta,
the live filter perspective closes the program, but the system doesn't crash.

Or have I misunderstood something.
