Paul Mudditt
Not a bug but the list mode toggle for adjustments studio is a nice feature, maybe in next release it could also be an option for the filters studio too. I have someone asking for quicker access to their favourites without going for a long scroll through. List mode does make options a little easier for experts to use. pixelcoder
One little question, when I install the App Store Version and cancel the beta, will I have to sign up for a future one, or will the TestFlight profile just "paused"? cheers, Lutz | https://www.instagram.com/lutz.heidbrink | https://500px.com/lutzheidbrink | https://www.eyeem.com/u/pixelcoder | https://society6.com/pixelcoder iPad Pro 10.5 - iOS 11.4.1 - Affinity Photo 1.6.7 - Affinity Designer 1.6.0.

I did this yesterday to double check behaviour before the beta and afterwards. Patrick Connor and pixelcoder 2 My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools…. Paul Mudditt
Though I would be reporting a crash involving several iPhone photos I took at weekend, however I’ve just installed IOS 11.3 Beta 3 which just arrived today and AP no longer crashes, so looks like problem was an IOS issue rather than Affinity. So GM still looking good. jacki3wrfsef 1 My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools…. Just waiting for Ronny Pickering….. DM1
I've downloaded the rel version 1.6.7.76 and the inpainting issue is still there. Take an image (pixel layer), use crop straighten tool to slightly rotate the picture and try inpainting the blank canvas. No good. Now try inpainting macro, voila, successfully filled. DM1
Alfred, if you are on the beta when you go to the App Store you should see a cloud symbol next to the Affinity Photo app. Tap that and the latest release version will download. It is 1.6.7.76 (so same as the GM seed.) M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). I expected to see a cloud symbol, but I only saw an 'Open' button. I tried logging out, closing and reopening the App Store app and logging back in again, but that didn't change anything. Edit: I seem to have solved the problem by telling TestFlight to reinstall an earlier build. When I went back to the App Store after that, I saw the cloud symbol and tapped it to start a fresh download. I've no idea, of course, whether the whole exercise has been pointless, given that I already had the 'GM Seed' version of 1.6.7.76 installed. Mzak
Great new features. I had expected this to be able to open photos from the iPad in place also, not just from the cloud? Can that be added? Or at least can Affinity be registered as a target app for photos? It’s still not really usable on a larger scale. Say I take 500 pictures and put them in my photos app and want to work with them in Photo I still have to import all of them one by one? And then tediously delete them again when I am done with the project?

So it is necessary to rasterise the canvas to get inpainting to infill on a blank canvas. That makes sense as the pixel layer has been moved / cropped exposing the canvas. I am intrigued how the macro inpaint is able to fill all edges. Does it inpaint the whole image layer? If not how (in 2 steps) does it fill all edges. I assume the first step in macro is to 'rasterise'. Dave Paul Mudditt 1 M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). It can access photos so you can load off your camera and move to a directory you create in Documents. AP can access all folders created in Documents and has the benefit of retaining correct file naming. When you use Open from Cloud to access Documents it will Save directly back to the source Documents folder. You can access all you PCs, macs, wireless storage etc from Documents too and view files in Documents. You don't have to import one by one. You can currently open AP to project screen, create a new empty Project folder. Open the folder in AP then drag Photos up from bottom of screen to open at the side. Navigates to photos tap and hold one, tap other to select multiple images then drag across and drop in AP's open folder. The selected images will then be imported into the project folder. I haven't tested the numerical limit but it’s probably just limited by available memory. Creating an empty Project folder is not really necessary as the photos will import to the project screen anyway. I just find it easier to create a folder to load them straight into rather than have to drag them afterwards. M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
