MerrieBell79
I'm a new user to Affinity and I'm looking for a tutorial on how to add text to an image that looks like it was written in sand. I've googled this and can only find tutorials for Photoshop. Anyone have experience with this and can provide instruction?
Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @MerrieBell79. The procedure in Affinity Photo should be broadly similar to what works in Adobe Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) although some of the terminology may differ. If you post a link to a particular tutorial that you've tried to follow, together with a description of where you got stuck, someone here should be able to point you in the right direction. firstdefence
One of the major factors in making a simpler workflow on this would be to go to a beach, write the alphabet and numbers into wet flat sand and photograph them, then create your own sand writing font. Nawwww. I went outside once. The graphics weren't that good. Grab a handwritten font. Give it an FX emboss Optional: Distort it a little if you want. (I used ripple and diffuse) Layer it a couple times with blend modes/opacity to taste. summer.afphoto firstdefence, mykee, MerrieBell79 and 2 others
