Mr Lucky Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I used to be able to make mac folder (or file) icons in Photoshop, by saving a file (e.g. .psd) selecting the file in Finder, then using CMD+I to show info. The image would then show as the icon in the top left of the info box and could then be copied and pasted to any other folder or file info box, which would then show on the actual folder or file itself on my desktop. With Affinity, when I save a file in whatever format, the get info box is just showing the Affinity logo in the top left. Is there a way to do the same with Affinity? ie have the image show as the top left icon so I can copy/paste it elsewhere (and not the Affiity logo) Thanks Left saved from Photoshop Right saved from Affinity Quote
v_kyr Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 See: File's image well displays PNG icon not actual PNG Image2icon Mr Lucky 1 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
R C-R Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Try this: 1. Open the image you want to use in Preview.app & copy it to the clipboard. 2. In Finder open the Info window for a file, click on the icon at the top & paste. Actually, step 2 of the Jan 30 '15 answer in the Stack Exchange topic is unnecessary in current versions of Preview.app. Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.7 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
