I don’t know whether it’s the same in the US, but here in the UK the brand name Braun is pronounced “brawn”, even in TV commercials. For some strange reason, however, Audi is pronounced correctly. Speaking of Porsche, I recall someone telling me about seeing one with a bumper sticker which said, “My other car is a Porsche”!
