[Fixed] Beta 3 Perspective Tool bug

Recommended Posts

When I drag any of the handles to set the perspective, as soon as I release the mouse button the node snaps back to its original location. This happens for both single & dual planes, & for Source or Destination mode, & whether show grid is enabled or not.

I have seen a similar problem, although on my system when I drag the bottom handle for the perspective tool and release it the top snaps out to where the bottom is. The effect is the same as R C-R reported. In Dual mode it works as described by R C-R.

Thanks for your help with this bug. We have now resolved the problem and will make the fix available in the next Mac release.

So the [Fixed] prefix is maybe a bit premature?

Not exactly. This bug should have been filled in the Beta section, not in the retail version (where it works fine) and it's now fixed in the current Beta 1.7.4 RC1.

Thanks for the additional info. I assume you mean Affinity Photo Customer Beta (1.6.7 - Release Candidate 1) that was just made available a few hours ago, right? Downloading it now....

EDIT: BTW, I did post this to the Affinity Photo Customer Beta (1.6.7 - Beta 3) discussion once I verified in Questions that I was not the only one seeing that behavior. I am never quite sure if I should post to the Beta discussion until I am reasonably sure it isn't just something wrong with my system. :/
