AshTeriyaki
Not sure if I'm being excessive but I'd love to see a performance bump for the paint mixer brush. I love the idea of opening a big canvas and just starting to paint with it. But on big canvases it's pretty slow, I understand that this tool must be far more expensive than standard paint but I'd love it to be faster, I've attached a video showing the performance I'm getting on a 6k file. For the record I'm on a 12-core Mac Pro (Dustbin) with 64gb of RAM. ..never bloody pleased are we? But in my endless showing off and blabbing about photo, this is a feature that seems to get a lot of people excited. mixer brush.mov anon1, stevenj16 and paolo.limoncelli
stevenj16
This is the same for me, unfortunately - to the point where the brush is unusable. I read elsewhere that turning rulers off might help but it had no noticeable effect. Quad core i7 iMac with 24gb.
paolo.limoncelli
I think it needs some improvements too... It is usable between 100-300px size. Currently I use it only for small touchups, it not yet suited for blocking large areas I guess. Using low spacing and rade nozzles you can reach quite nice tools. Apart from brush size (850px is something pretty massive in any software) I'd love to see some more options to control bleeding/force/mixing etc... My hidden dream would be to find it in a future AP v2.x merged together with Pixel Tool into the Paintbrush Tool itself, so you could decide if your preset can blend colours or not, without switching tool... :) The white dog, making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers
