Rhino .ai files not supported

Hi Auro,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Affinity Designer can only access the PDF portion (stream) of an AI file when it's saved with PDF compatibility checked (which is AI's default setting). Rhino isn't able to create/generate Ai files with the PDF stream and as such Affinity Designer is not able to load anything from the file (the Ai file is proprietary/closed so we can't display the rest of the data on the file). You may still be able to import the data to Affinity if you export the data from Rhino as a PDF. Check this page for more info: Creating PDFs in Rhino
- Remember to select vector output. You have to set vector output on in print dialog to keep vectors.
