Perspective layer not functioning

Recommended Posts

Do you mean the Layer menu > Live Projection > Perspective Projection mapping mode? If so, what exactly do you mean by "stopped functioning"? Is the menu item greyed out so you can't select it, or maybe the perspective plane grid does not appear when you select it, or something else?

Affinity Photo's perspective layer suddenly has stopped functioning.

Hi Phil,

We've got a few Perspective options in Affinity, the one @R C-R has mentioned.  We also have the Perspective tool down the left hand side and also Layer>New Live Filter Layer>Live Perspective.  So we will need to know which one has stopped working and what it's doing differently.  Also, is this Mac or Windows?

I too have a perspective tool that is not working,  when I look in the tools panel it is greyed out.

Are you sure it is greyed out & Preferences > User Interface isn't just set to monochromatic iconography?

Also, what happens if you click on it? In the dark UI it looks sort of greyed out even though it is not.

The tool works only when applied to a pixel layer.

So first select a pixel layer in the layer stack, then activate the perspective tool.

You could use merge visible to convert the visible canvas into a pixel layer.

There is a second version, a live perspective filter. This can be applied anywhere in the layer stack, including atop of image layers or vector shapes.

But I don't think it should be greyed out, even if no layer is selected....
