Qwerty
I have just downloaded trial version of Affinity, is Affinity a alternative to Photoshop or Lightroom both? On first viewing it look to cover both but I have never used Lightroom and am new to editing.
Staff MEB Posted February 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted February 8, 2018 Hi Qwerty, Welcome to Affinity Forums It's closer to Photoshop + Adobe Camera RAW than Lightroom. Contrary to Lightroom, Affinity Photo doesn't manage libraries, nor is able to apply the same settings to a photo set, or save those settings to a XMP sidecar file or a database. It's a RAW developer/converter and photo editing app where you usually start by processing/converting a RAW file (in Develop Persona), move it to Photo Persona for further localised photo editing and export to most common formats or save it in our own native format which will keep all you edits/layers and history (if enabled) intact.
