Create Overlapping Font or Characters in Designer

Recommended Posts

To Those That Have The Knowledge:

I have a LOGO I'm trying to recreate from scratch in Affinity Designer.

Letters W S C

Vertically Arranged

W
S

C

So That Each Letter overlaps the next. resulting in the letters being intertwined.

Attached is a JPEG IMAGE of what I'm trying to accomplish.

Thanks in Advance

Calvin Jr.

This can be done fairly easily by duplicating (for example) the C shape & stacking it above the S in the Layers panel. Then, with the Node Tool add two nodes to the dup in the area inside the lower bend of the S shape. Break those two nodes to create two shapes & delete the lower one. Do not close the remaining partial C shape to avoid an unwanted stroke.

I was not very careful when creating the letter shapes from scratch, but WSC.afdesign shows the basic idea.
