New HDR Merge screen is using a Camera icon to provide access to photos. The main screen Import from Photos library uses a circle with elipses drawn inside. Would it make sense to use the same icon throughout to access the same location (photo library)? The Camera icon 'suggests' it opens the Camera function with its HDR picture taking mode.

It's not just the HDR Merge screen but also the Focus Merge, Stack and Panorama screens. However as you say it would be more consistent, so I'll get it passed on to development.

As I see it, images opened and changes made are 'stored' in AP 'working' folder. When saving to iPad (closed image tap 3 bars etc), the image is stored on the iPad and viewable in Files, On My IPad, Photo. If you don't save it stays only in 'Working' folder. If you uninstall AP at this stage you would lose the image and changes.

Opening an image via Cloud option places image in 'working' folder (which is displayed on welcome screen). Saving from Welcome screen (3 bars) still saves on iPad, Photo. No Save option when image is opened, only a Save a Copy, which does exactly that.

I used Open from Cloud, selected an image which opened in AP. Closed image and press Save on Welcome screen (to Save/Copy over the original file), the save date of the original image updated accordingly so it does appear to work correctly

Edit: After experimenting with a few files I have confirmed (in my case) that Open from and Import do behave as designed.

What IS important to remember is that any changes made in AP remain in the private 'working folder' until you decide to Save them. So if you use Close without first saving (from 3 bars on Welcome/Opening screen), the changes will be lost.

Likewise, using the back arrow to exit the editing screen will only save the changes back to the private working files area in AP sandbox. In the edit screen you can of course use the Save a Copy (which saves a copy of changes) or you can exit back to Welcome/Open screen and use Save (3 bars menu) to save the changes (location saved to depends on how you accessed the file). If Open from Cloud, Save updates the existing file, if Import from Cloud, Save adds a Copy to the local Photo folder in Flies (I assume this type of save is then effected by the store on iPad or store in Cloud preferences setting).

Clear as pMuddit :D:D

Ha ha as clear as Mud :-) :-)

It’s a sandbox then.

My question now is about curve editing. At the bottom we can see 3 main node types - sharp smooth, smart. I have a huge experience with curve editing in Corel Draw. But i want some clarification here. In the SHARP type of node, when i creating it - there are no control points available, it creates just SHARP node, but i see no way, how to control the angle of such SHARP node (to make it more or less sharp), as there are no additional control points. When i was working with shapes intersection i suddenly i found interesting thing, after welding two overlapped shapes into one shape - such control points for SHARP node creates by itself. Now look to the green circle on my screenshot - i can control angle/spreading of this point type. But when i am initiating the creation of such node type - no additional assisting/control points available. I feel strong lack of such thing, as in curves editing this is "must have" feature. I try different actions with hope - this  will show up or uncover or make appear these control points for SHARP type node - but no luck. I could not compare beta with App Store version - as when i was make payment on 4th January, my payment was stolen by my mobile carrier (MTS) and i fill the case in Police.

Try this... tap one of the red circled nodes, now tap smooth or smart in the bottom control tabs. It will then allow you to modify the sharp node angle.

Why is it that Daub blenders are able to display the brush name but other brushes do not display their names?

Just as a test I exported these brushes then reimported them to get a second copy. If you press and hold on a brush you get the options to edit, delete or rename, which you can do on the copies of these brushes. So part of the answer is that you can apply a name to a brush, and these have been named whilst others haven’t. However, I haven’t had much luck renaming my brushes as I can’t see the names.

Edit - Sorted, see next post!

DM1, look to the attached video. I want independent movements of control points, usually both control points moves in one line - shorter or longer, but still along one axis (but different directions). But i want to move it in different direction, like in cross direction - one control point along X axis and another control point along Y. As it occurs for SHARP node in green circle.

Ok, think I have this figured, you have 2 control handles because you actually have 2 nodes, one on top of the other. How? Well if you select a node that you want to convert to have this behaviour, select the node, then select the white right triangle and press break. Then repeat what you did in the video to drag a selection box round the node and select smooth, you should, now see two control bars that can be moved independently.

You shouldn't need to break the curve to create a cusp. In the desktop version, you can select a smooth node and Alt-drag on one of its control handles; the Help for the iPad version correctly states that you can create a cusp node by holding down a secondary finger or thumb as you create a new node, and I've found that I can (not without some difficulty!) use the same trick with the Node Tool to convert an existing node.

Yes, Alfred, it is a cusp type node. The idea was to show that controller points for node without changing/breaking the original geometry.

Paul Mudditt, I have no such additional option, as Ignore Snapping in my 1.6.7.74 RC1

I am on same version, did you watch my video? If you’re on iPad, download movie using iCabMobile or similar as videos won’t play direct in safari for some reason from this site. But here are my screen shots of how to get to ignore snapping which is exactly what you asked for.

I’ve uploaded to YouTube so you can watch on iPad

Strange sliders behavior. Even short tap opens the numeric value window and then back to previous state, ignoring the value that i was tap on. I check only this issue in HSL colour mode only - but this could be in another sliders also.

P.S. Sorry for blurred video.

Yes I agree think you have found another bug I get exactly the same behaviour although it doesn't seem to affect normal slider behaviour.

I think they may just treat this as a quirk rather than a full fledged bug. I'd rather they fixed my canon raw import from photos problem.

Setting Associated tool to a brush choice enables the name to be displayed however it prevents that brush from being used with any other associated tool. Eg If I set a brush to Paint brush, I cannot then use it for Paint Mixer brush or Colour Replacement Brsh.

I must be missing something here as it would seem to make sense to allow brush naming to be displayed with the setting of Associated tool as Don't Set. This way the brush designers brush name would be visible in the drop down menu for every tool the brush was linked to.

Is their a reason for not doing this?
