I've had quick chat with development and they've said that you're best left leaving everything as default, but you could try switching to the Metal renderer if you wish and see if that makes much of a difference to the battery life. As you don't have a dedicated GPU there is nothing to change there that would help power consumption. Ultimately if you have a complex document, it will make the CPU busy which will consume a lot of power especially as it is the i7 variant. The i5 would be a better choice for power consumption.
