nigelb@svaja.com
Is there a facility to watermark images and how can it be done?
ronnyb
There is no Watermarking facility... But you can make a new layer, add your watermark artwork to it, and adjust your to your desired opacity level... nigelb@svaja.com
Thanks Ronny... seems to be a long winded method compared to lightroom which is so much simpler.... Would it be worth suggesting as a product improvement for all those who want to prevent images being 'stolen'? ronnyb
Hey @nigelb, yes you could post it in the Suggestions forum... I think it might fit in nicely in the Export persona, as a panel. figjamuk
+1 Agreed, it would certainly make things a little more fluid. Thank you.
DellaValdez
Bro, why not use "Photo watermark"? It's the easiest tool or facility like you called it, to add watermark to images. You will find its batch watermarking functions very useful. Hope you think it useful. :) Good luck. Or you can use google, bing, yahoo for help, and find one you like most. ;)
edwards142
If you are looking for the best and easy to use watermark creator tool in order to add watermark to PDF file contained images then I want to suggest you to use PDF Watermark Creator tool to add watermark to your images as this tool supports all types of images like JPG, PNG, Tiff etc. this tool facilitates you to add date, time, filename etc in your watermark and many attractive features to make good watermark. You can also apply shapes such as line, rectangle and circle to your watermark.

LindaYVR
I would like to have a text or watermark feature in Affinity extension for Photos app so I can quickly make images for social media without having to leave the app. Alternatively is there a way to do this easily from Photos app? Thanks. focustwo
william7
I agree it would be a nice thing to have in the export panel, you could set up a default watermark and turn it on and it is automatically positioned and all you need to do is adjust the opacity if needed. octavian
I am trying Affinity for 10 days (to see if I like it) and I have a question: is the option of easily adding a watermark when exporting photos available now? I saw that the last post here was almost a year ago.

Would it be worth suggesting as a product improvement for all those who want to prevent images being 'stolen'? Lightroom isn't that good either. The watermarking dialog is very limited. Should you need just basic text, there are a lot of free apps for that. For example, http://www.irfanview.com. Export your photos in TIFF or PNG format and then convert to JPEG with adding a watermark using IrfanView. I said to export in PNG or TIFF from Affinity because your photo will be resaved during watermarking. Every time you re-save a JPEG photo, a bit of quality is lost. So, it's better to export in a lossless format like PNG or TIFF, apply a watermark and only then save to JPEG. Should you need more flexibility, use a more advanced app like https://www.visualwatermark.com or https://watermarkly.com. Both aren't free but they have a visual designer and can watermark photos in batches.
MortTheAerialGuy
Use a macro in a batch job, you can watermark images that way if i'm not mistaken.
