I'm new here (just posted a large rambling reply in the introductions topic).

 

As I said in that thread, I just do abstract stuff... I ain't a real artist 

 

Here is an early experimentations with patterns:-

 

 

And this next one is something I have done for my music project. It consists of a logo which I originally created in AutoCAD and the middle background is a flame fractal that I created in JWildfire:-

There are plenty of people who just do abstract stuff but don’t shrink from claiming to be real artists!

 

Both of your examples are very nice, and I’m looking forward to seeing more. (I’m particularly interested in flames and fractals, but I hadn’t heard of JWildfire until now.)

Yeah, JWildfire is good but I then found Chaotica and I find that easier to use. Well worth checking out if you want to experiment with flame fractals.

Thanks, Andy. Chaotica looks promising: I’ve already played with Apophysis quite a bit, although not recently, and I also have Flame Painter by Escape Motions. In any case, JWildfire requires Java, so I wouldn’t currently be able to run it.
