Zacl
I want to import a picture from photos on ipad into Affinity to experiment with. Apart from getting a blank import screen nothing else happens when I press the import from photos button. I assumed it would sync with my photos app. I am not finding Affinity particularly intuitive. I would like to get started on my own project rather than just play with tutorials. When will A book for iPad be available? I have bought the tome that applies to Mac thinking it might be of some use with ipad. Workflow is signficantly different as not to be useful with ipad, unfortunately. Advice would be appreciated. DM1
It should. Import from Photos should open the iPad camera roll and allow you to browse your images. Which version of Affinity Photo are you using? Which model iPad do you have? Can you import from Cloud or share an image to Open in Photo? Re Intuitive Interface: lt really is worth looking through the IPad tutorials by James Ritson. They cover all the basics and will help familiarise you with the menus and workflow. After a while using it I found the menus began to make sense. Another good source of instructional videos for the iPad are produced by Affinity Revolution. He offers a paid course but has many useful free tutorials too. Easy to follow and get you used to where all the tools and filters are located. FredFleming
Not having a blank photo import problem but if I import a photo with effects created in another app Affinity strips all of the effects created by the other app? I am importing from the camera roll.
Staff MEB Posted February 5, 2018 Staff Share Posted February 5, 2018 Hi FredFleming, Welcome to Affinity Forums How do you have sent the image to the third party app from Apple Photos - have you used an extension? Affinity is probably opening the original RAW/JPG image store in Apple Photos, not the edited version sent back by the third party app. Out of curiosity which app is that?
