dozens
So I imported an .svg I made of an image of some text I drew. It imported the whole thing as one group but I do not see the option to "Convert to Curves" or "Ungroup" the group of drawn letters? I'm totally new to this but I can't figure out how to separate the letters so I can them around? Also, there are these red squares and circles that I cannot remove without the line going straight and the handles are missing to fit it? And they do not adjust like the other nodes. Help? R C-R
Use the Divide geometry function to split a "(Curves)" layer into its separate "(Curve)" layers. Note the plural vs. singular difference in the layer types. The quickest way to do the divide is to use the button in the group of 5 in the main toolbar -- it's the all blue one in the second from the right group of buttons. The red squares and circles indicate the type of end node of a path, square for sharp & round for smooth. They are visual aids & only visible when the Node Tool is selected. They are not separate objects. And they do not adjust like the other nodes. Those nodes are red because they’re end nodes. You can see this more clearly if you select an open path instead of a closed one.
