Save window popping up HUGE in Win10

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Apologies if this has already come up but I have just started using Affinity Photo and getting on OK until I need to save... It pops a window that is massively zoomed in, making it very difficult to then select where I need to save the file. I can't see directories, I can't see file type save options, it is unworkable. Hoping this is just a setting issue and easily solved as if not I may have to give up on it.

Thanks

Hi Aaron F and Welcome to the Forums,

If you check the Display settings in Windows, what is the Scaling set to?  I suspect it will be higher than the recommended setting and that's why the box is showing up so large.

Hi Stokerg,

I am new to Win10 (yesterday!) but scaling is set to 100% and everything else works well. I have checked the magnifier setting and this is currently turned off too so I don't think it is this, any other ideas?

I also don't seem to be able to change the settings to save as anything other than an Affinity file type so maybe I am doing something wrong? (Just clicking 'save as')

I suspect this is one of the "commoner" problems!

"Save as" will always save to the afphoto format.  To save to a different type/format you need to "Export" (on the file menu).  That will allow you to select the format you wish to export to.

Hahhahahaha!

Simple fix... Win10 had dropped back in to tablet mode and I hadn't noticed. Now turned off and all is as it should be, I think it may take me a little longer to get used to 10 than I thought. Thanks for all the help everyone!
