I apologise if this is covered elsewhere but I haven't been able to find an existing thread.

I edit monochrome documents i.e. B+W a lot.  When working with a document in colour then Affinity Photo has no problems displaying the usual colours for masks, selections etc even when a B+W conversion has been done. However, when a document is set to monochrome from the beginning, then all masking, selections etc is displayed as a shade of grey. Sometimes, depending on the background this can be difficult to see on screen and I find it it especially difficult with clipping warnings (a group with special blend modes I have set up to replace the inexplicable absence of the buttons in the Photo persona).

I was wondering if it is possible to continue displaying masking, selections, clipping warnings etc in colour for monochrome documents?

Hi Subclavius,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

As far as i know currently there's no way around this, sorry. Currently it works as it was designed/intended.

Maybe one of the developers can comment or consider it for a future improvement. I know other users already raised this issue previously.
