get things out of the way while you're drawing?

is there ANYWAY to get rid of/kill all the menus/ui while you're drawing (and keep them killed until you want them?)  I know you double touch the top right icon and it gets rid of the ui and brush settings - but only for like 3 seconds, and then they are back again.  There needs to be a "go away until i tell you to come back" button for the ui.... unless I missed it....

affinity Photo for iPad. Touch once for clear screen. Touch again to bring back menus. Maybe touching twice you are simply turning menu off and back on?

touching twice makes the ui (the side bars) AND the brush settings go away.  if you hit it once only the side bars go away, but the brush settings stay right in the way so you constantly select and change things you dont want to.  

 

at this point id kill for a button that says to the UI to NEVER come back until i touch you...  makes it realy kind of frustrating to draw as it is now

@safoster71 thanks for that tip. I didn't realise a double tap hid side AND bottom bars, neat.

Unlike you though, my menus remain hidden until I tap the top right icon. Are you using the beta version? Maybe it was fixed in the beta.

since its an ipad i dont know how to get ahold of the "beta" version.  the one i am using is whatever the app store has

You can request beta access here. Be aware though that beta version may have bugs too. E.g latest version has colour picker/brush fixed but perspective distortion filter no longer works. Have a read of the beta for iPad thread. I find the beta very useable but you may not. You can at any time revert back to earlier version.
