Bitmpap fill of area and keeping original transparency around

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out how to fill a colored area of a bitmap logo to a different color yet keep the transparency around it (original was a png). In Photoshop I could just select "fill" then pick my fill color and check the keep transparency checkbox.. How do I achieve this in AP ?

Yea. I would like to know, too. Selecting and applying colors to selections in AD & AP is a pain. At least for me, and ianstudio. Creating and selecting swatches & global corps and PMS colors, and just about any color are process that elude my understanding. What seems intuitive and strait forward in Photoshop remains a mystery in affinity.

Working with photos is not so bad. I can understand the creation of shapes in AD. But color swatches and "global color" escape me.

It's difficult to be precise with no reference picture. But.. when I command click the layer of the logo I get a selection I can fill with the colour I want.
