Littletank Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 I believe that I understand the ideas behind Quick Mask and how to use it to make a selection however, there is one thing that puzzles me and about which I would very much like an answer. For example, a selection is made and, after removing the coloured mask, is shown by the marching ants. Next, a Curves Adjustment Layer is added, in order to make a change to that selection. Why does the window which opens show the histogram of the original image and not that of the selection? I use the latest version of AP on an up to date iMac Quote
Staff MEB Posted January 22, 2018 Staff Posted January 22, 2018 Hi Littletank, You can select what the Histogram shows in the Histogram panel (layer, selection or whole image), however currently the curves adjustments always shows the image histogram no matter what's selected (the use of the Quick Mask as a way to set the selection is not relevant here). I don't know if this was an oversight or something that will be implemented in a future update yet, in any case feel free to create a feature request in the corresponding forum section and this may become lost here.
