Hello,

I just bought A.P for my iPad Pro 12,9 and i want  to know How to remove the examples photos and the videos tutorials ?

I already see in the settings area the way to hide them from the main page gallery , but that action do not empty the space they take on the IPad .

Thank you in advance for your help

Regards,

Denis

Hi Denis,

Welcome to the forums.

If you have downloaded any of the sample files, they will show on the main screen with your other documents. If you tap the small icon underneath on the right, you will have an option to delete which if you choose you then just need to confirm on the next prompt. The video tutorials are just links to the online videos and are streamed to your device.

Hello Lee D,

Thank you for your quick reply, appreciated ;)

No i do not download any sample files, i just talk about the already ; Photos, Videos Tutorials who are here out of the box when you open the app for the first time.

I see for sure the 3 - - - mark on a file to remove it from the documents area on the main page, but the files i talk about do not have any "Hamburger Icon" to allow me to do any action on those files.

I see on the settings area a check-Mark for hide them as well, but like i said, that do not empty the space this files take on the Ipad, that just "Hide".

The main reason of my request is to save as much i can the Space on the Ipad and more ; the majority of the videos tutorial's can be see/watch on the net ( on your Youtube chanel, Vimeo, on this forum), so no reason to block more space. It can be usefull to let them on the app/ipad on local for some one who do not have a internet connection, but that last case is verry rare today ( and even it is the case, a user can download the videos before he know he do not be connected to the net...)

Beside, those tutorial files are super usefull and really appreciated...

Again, i talk about the 3 folders ( and the files inside) who are present out of the box when you open the app ( for the first time or not ) 1/ Presentation folder 2/ Videos Tutorials 3/ Photos samples.

Denis

Hi Denis1,

Ass Lee explained

The sample files and video tutorials are not included with the app. The video tutorials are streamed directly from the net (they are not stored on your device) and the sample files must be downloaded first before they can be used too. So none of these items are taking space when you install the app.

Hi Meb,

Oh ! Understand now ( sorry i'm French and English is not my native language, i do not understand well the first reply of LEE, well done now...), well Wonderfull news so ! top top, that mean if one day i will need to watch them i have just to return on the settings of the app to UN-Hide them & the files will be loaded again in streaming processing ! wow top !

I was asking that because even after begining to work with the app and cleaning ( removing) all the files in the gallery ( main Document page ) if i go on the setting of the Ipad in Local storage section, i can se for the "photo" ( Affinity photo ) Size of the App= 986 Mo and files and datas = 170 Mo, so was thinking is the samples images size, Ok then, so, by the way if no image documents inside the app , at what corresponding the 170 Mo files ?

Sorry to bore you with that type of question, but you know on Ipad space are not extended and verry limited...( exepted for those who take the 256, or 512 Go option, it's not my case)...I know i can manage Ipad Files on Cloud, External USB, Mini-NAS, but i have to take care of the local storage first...

Regards,

Denis
