Hello, Odette

Drag and drop your image over the Affinity Photo Icon in your doc

Also, check out the menu bar at the top Help> Affinity Photo help... that might shed some light on some of your questions.

Cheers hope that help a little.

Hi RJMB,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Affinity Photo is not a DAM (digital assets management) software like Lightroom or Aperture. It doesn't manage libraries like those programs. Affinity is a RAW converter/developer and photo editor. You have to import the images from your camera to a folder then open them in Affinity Photo (menu File ▸ Open). You can have several documents/images open but you can only work on one at once.

We will launch our own DAM solution later.

Good day all, i am fairly new to photography and technology in general.  However, whenever i import my RAW photos to the PHOTO LIBRARY on MAC it shows that it is a NEF RAW photo.  The problem is when i import to AFFINITY PHOTO, it reads as a JPEG.  What am i doing wrong? Shouldn't it read as  a RAW? Help i suck
