pwop
The blemish removal tool works very poorly. It either doesn't work or it seems to just push the blemish around. The only way to get rid of blemishes is by using the healing brush tool
LilleG
Hmmm, it's working fine for me. Haven't tried the Red-Eye Removal but the other tools are all working as I assume they should. Only one I'm not sure of is Patch. Am I correct that it is designed to replace the selected area with whatever the cursor next rests on?
Staff Justin Posted February 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted February 15, 2015 When using the blemish removal tool, if you find that clicking on a blemish replaces it with something unwanted you can instead drag from the blemish to the replacement area of your choice. The patch tool has a check box in the context tool bar which determines whether the selected area is the source or destination patch for the operation. Once you have made a selection AP starts to preview the result of the op using whatever is under the cursor for the other patch. When you next click the location of the other patch becomes fixed and you get a blue box drawn around the destination patch with some handles on the corners allowing you to rotate or scale the result. Dragging inside the box translates the result. The result is finalized when you click outside the box. I think it's quite a powerful tool, but I can see it might take some getting used to. Any suggestions are very welcome. Cheers Justin
LilleG
Thanks, Justin. There are so many new things to try out that I hadn't paid that much attention to the context tool bar. It is a very powerful and extremely useful tool. Not hard to get used to, once you have some idea of what it is supposed to do.
