Bain
I am on the latest beta from TestFlight using iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and while using the refine selection tool, I find that if the pencil accidentally makes contact with the screen before or just after it has finished processing a refinement (usually if the pencil moves outside of the screen area onto the bezel) it quickly greys out and sits with a spinning wheel forcing me to force close the app thus losing all the refinements I just made. Hope that makes sense?
DM1
Yes this has been reported previously. I have had it happen too (quite frequently for a while), which was very annoying. IPad Pro 10.5 512GB, iOS 11.2.2, Affinity Photo beta. After powering off the IPad and restarting, I have thankfully not experienced this issue again. I had also just updated iOS to 11.2.2 so that may have had an influence too. Try a reset first. Sometimes it also helps to Save the current file, then reopen it. M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Affinity Design 1.10.5 Affinity Publisher 2, Affinity Designer 2, Affinity Photo 2 and betas.
