adjustable keyboard shortcuts (more productive working)?

Recommended Posts

Isn't it possible to use your own keyboard shortcuts in Affinity?

I for one like to use keyboard shortcuts for brushing while increasing/decreasing brushes, opacity, and softness/hardness. Ideal and heavily depending for painting of any kind. Opening panels and extra adjusting via sliders is kind of contra productive.

Adobe has a panel to adjust all this. This is kind of the first thing I do after a clean install because of it's massive time saving.

Shortcut users know what I mean...

Big Plus 1 for this.  Like Dieter, setting up my own keyboard shortcuts is the first thing I do in any app that will allow it.  Full customization allows me to work with my right hand on the mouse or stylus and my left on the keyboard, selecting tools or functions.  It's much faster than going to panels or toolbars.  Full customization also allows me to coordinate commands between programs so there's no confusion even when switching between unrelated apps.

To be honest, a shortcut mapping that is the equivalent of what Adobe Photoshop uses, would be a huge timesaver for Adobe power users, considering the jump to Affinity.

Maybe if this could be a file someone at Affinity created and that's updated with every new release and extra features, whereas it can then be imported as the custom shortcut usage (ie. Adobe preset). In this way the switch would be less annoying and all users wouldn't have to go through the hassle themselves to get their shortcuts the equivalent of software they used for more than a decade...
