Partial image in upper left corner of canvas in Affinity Photo

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Hope all is well with everyone.  Just recently found this software and decided to give it a try.  Haven't done anything yet since I'm encountering this very annoying issue right from the start.

When opening a file, (tiff, pdf, jpg, raw) my images always show up on the upper left hand corner of the canvas.  The image is reduced in size and it's upper and left hand side are truncated (cut off) and the rest of the canvas fills up the rest of what should be the correct image size of the document.  In other words I can't see the full image.  The navigator however, shows the full image in it's window.  For some reason I just can't get my whole image to appear in main editing screen.

I'd appreciate any feedback or suggestions about this issue.  Thanks.

Hi BBR,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

This is a known issue. If you are using a scale value (Display Settings on Windows) different from 125% or 150% (basically the default values provided), changing to one of the defaults should fix the issue. Alternatively if you go to Affinity Designer/Photo Preferences, Performance section and set the Retina Rendering to Low Quality (Fastest) It should also fix the issue for now. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
