[Fixed] mising brush size cursor working with tablet

Recommended Posts

HI

I found a problem with displaying the brush size in Affinity Photo (1.61.93) Win 10 PL. When working with a Wacom tablet or on a Surface Pro. The size and center of the brush are not displayed.

I have to use a mouse or touch pad then it appears. After changing to the pen disappears :( (Sometimes it works for a while after changing.) I thought it was a Wacom driver problem, but on Surface is similar. It's good to see a brush spot, but by drawing off the mask you can only see the white arrow.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Brush Outline missing when using Tablet/Surface) of the program in the latest Windows customer beta of Affinity Photo and/or Affinity Designer. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below.

The 1.8.0.526 beta builds are in links at the top of these beta forum posts.

Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.0 update/patch to all customers.

Gabe, are you actually responding to the issue identified in this thread? It was not about missing elements when importing EPS. I just bought a pen-input monitor (XP-Pen Pro 15.6) and have the same issue as the OP - Affinity Photo does not display the brush size indicator when using the pen. Instead, the program displays the standard mouse cursor. If I move my mouse, Affinity photo will display the brush indicator and its size, but as soon as I start to actually draw (or clone, erase, etc) with the XP-Pen pen, the program displays the windows pointer again. This makes Affinity Photo very much less than ideal for use with such a device.
