Saving files with shortcut in Export persona

Recommended Posts

There is a way to save files that go inside folders using the export persona that was introduced a while back. Basically you can tell the file where it's going to be saved all inside the export persona at the point of giving it a name. This topic was not talked about much but proved to be a powerful tool. Does anyone remember this? I may have gotten the details wrong.

The forward slash (or oblique) character can be used in slice filenames in export setups in the Slices panel. The word preceding the slash will be used to create a containing folder for the file named at the end, when exported using Export Slices (n).

For example, a PNG slice with a filename in the Slices panel of assets/img/hero will create hero.png within an img folder within an assets folder.

Found this in help under Export Persona > Slices Panel in Affinity Photo and under Exporting > Slices Panel in Affinity Designer
